What an outage actually stops

Worth knowing before you need it. Every machine running baseholds its own copy of your organisation's content, and reads are served out of that copy rather than from us. So if we are down, reading keeps working, on every machine, exactly as fast as it did before.

What stops is writing, syncing those writes to everyone else's machine, signing in to the portal, and anything administrative. Writes made while we are down are not lost. They go out when the connection comes back.

Where incidents get posted

If something is broken and it affects your organisation, we email the account owners. That is the channel, and it is the one we check first, so you do not have to be watching a page to find out.

Once an incident is over, it gets written up here with what happened and what we changed afterwards.

If something is broken and it is affecting you, write tohello@basemode.ai and say what you were doing when it stopped. That reaches a person.

Planned maintenance

There is none scheduled.

When there is, we will post it here beforehand and email account owners if it means any downtime. We aim to do this kind of work when the fewest people are working, and reads carry on through it regardless.
